We had the great pleasure of meeting Melissa Tucci over seven years ago, and we made an immediate connection with her.  We loved not only what she did for the people of San Diego, but we also loved how much care she showed to every one of her clients.

Melissa works tirelessly in both the seller and buyer positions.  Her knowledge of the many diverse neighborhoods within our town makes her a valuable asset when it comes to the needs of her clientele.  Her dedication doesn’t stop there; Melissa makes a point of always being available when needed.  It is not unheard of to find her on the phone late into the evening ironing out the details of an offer or reviewing the terms for a new home buyer.  “I love what I do, and I love always being available to my clients.  Once they become a client, they become a friend, and I will be there for them, not only during the buying or selling process but long after should they need referrals for renovations or have any questions once they are in their new homes.”  This is evident in the level of success that Melissa has accomplished.   Not only has Melissa maintained the position as a top agent in San Diego, but she has also been in the top 1% of REALTORS® nationally and the highest-ranked Agent at Coldwell Banker for the past three years.  None of these accolades come without a great dedication to her clients and a winning attitude.

Born and raised in Chicago, Melissa brings with her a Midwestern Work ethic that started at the young age of ten when she took her first job working at a hot dog stand, and she has been working ever since.

So, what is it that makes Melissa stand out amongst the crowd?  “The more time I spend in this industry, the more I realize that giving back to the community is an essential part of who I am and what I want to accomplish.” Melissa donates a portion of every commission earned to the San Diego Foundation.  This nonprofit helps fund many different charities, and she also helps sponsor the San Diego Sports Association, which supports youth athletics and provides much-needed scholarships to the less fortunate.

For those Padres fans, if you have attended a game, you could not miss the large announcement on the scoreboard stating Melissa Tucci as the Official Realtor of the San Diego Padres or see her rotating on the television screens.  Melissa has held this distinct honor for the past ten years and is the only Agent to hold this designation in San Diego Padres history.  Apparently, our town’s favorite team realizes what a Superstar she is.

In addition, Melissa has been named one of San Diego’s Most Influential Women in San Diego Magazine and ranked as one of the Top 100 Agents in The Wall Street Journal and Real Trends Magazine.  She has been ranked with Five Star Customer Service Satisfaction in Forbes and San Diego Magazine.

Melissa is also part of Sportstar Relocation, a nationwide network of real estate agents who assist with wealth management and financial advising in major league sports.  In this capacity, she helps connect frequently relocated athletes and find the best professionals to make their moves less complex, as well as their clientele, family, and friends.

Melissa has always enjoyed two distinct parts of her life: her real estate career and her family.  As a dedicated wife and the mother of three girls, and despite a hectic schedule, Melissa has always found the time to be actively involved in their lives.  Melissa is an avid runner and manages to make it a part of her daily schedule.  One of her daughters has graduated college and begun her career; the other two are still in school, so she is conscious of always being a great role model for her girls. 

Melissa has yet another project she has been nurturing: “I’m building a 29,000 square foot mixed-use space.  It has twenty-two underground parking spots, a restaurant, office space, and five townhomes that my husband and I will keep as vacation rentals,” Melissa explains.  “It’s really exciting to see this come to fruition.” Completion of this product is scheduled for later this year.

I asked Melissa what is most important to her: “Enjoying time with my husband, kids, and the outdoors, and striving to be a better person, a better role model, and a better Real Estate Agent and Broker.”

We are so proud of Melissa and happy to say that she has most definitely achieved her goals.
